During his 23-year career with Allied Domecq Spirits & Wine, formerly Hiram Walker, Don was responsible for marketing and sales of group wines and spirits in various markets worldwide.
He recently finished two terms on the State of Michigan Commission of Agriculture and Rural Development, serves on the Traverse Bay Economic Development Corporation and sits on the board of the Grand Traverse Foodshed Alliance. He is on the advisory committee for the Great Lakes Culinary Institute at Northwestern Michigan College.
Currently, he resides in Traverse City where he is Managing Partner of Black Star Farms of Suttons Bay and Old Mission, MI, with wineries, tasting rooms, distillery, inn, café, and stables – premier agricultural destinations.
